Creating retail or consumer packaging is tricky in any market, but wine doubly so. Lots of tropes and clichés abound. It’s a narrow path to create something both exciting and on-brand.
Astrolabe tasked us with a bit of a “double punch” project. Two sets of packaging for three ranges and fifteen different varietals.
The result was two polar opposite yet ‘up-market’ pack designs. One reflecting Astrolabe’s varietals in proportionate circles, the other giving a sense of place, both for special occasions with “gift-giving” in mind.
Latterly we also created some slip cases for their mini tasting notes that also drew on similar cues.
