The proposed update to the 1975 Statistics Act required creative advice and branding for public engagement and consultation.
We suggested to turn the approach on its head, encouraging Stats NZ to think beyond a branded public educational campaign. We suggested using contrast and humour to transform dry data and governmental topics to stories that were interesting to the general public.
Playing on sentimental memories and 70s groove, ‘Stay beautiful 1975’ was born.
